What it is for
LED lamps are direct replacements for older bulbs: they screw or pin into the existing holder with no fixture change and no rewiring. This is the cheapest and fastest upgrade for homes and small shops.

Choosing the right one
Two things to check before buying: the cap type must match, and if the circuit has a dimmer, the lamp must state that it is dimmer-compatible — a plain lamp on a dimmed circuit will flicker or buzz. Third is colour: coming from old incandescent bulbs, take warm white, because neutral will make the whole room feel different. We currently stock a **single** lamp part number with a photograph, so please ask ahead if you need to change over in bulk.
