• A whole facade can run a gradient, or switch scene by time of day.
• Light one section for an event without touching the rest.
• Strongest in architectural and media-facade work: hotels, malls, landmark buildings.

Which projects it suits

It must be settled at design stage, not near handover: control system, signal routing and fixture positions have to follow the structure. That is the fundamental difference from functional lighting — wanting colour after installation usually means starting again.
