Floodlight

Floodlights light large outdoor areas: yards, factory aprons, building facades, loading bays. One unit covers a big area, so you need fewer fittings and simpler wiring, and they mount on poles or walls equally well.
What stands out
- Sealed against water and dust — permanent outdoor exposure is fine.
- One unit covers a large area, so fewer mounting points and less cabling.
- Mounts on poles and walls equally well.
- Dimmable versions for areas that need not run at full output all night.
- Colour-changing versions for architectural facade work.
- Asymmetric distributions wash a long wall without throwing light into the sky.
Choosing the right one
This is the easiest fixture to over-specify, and over-specifying here does more than waste energy — it creates glare and spills light onto neighbouring property. What decides the choice is beam angle relative to throw distance, not wattage: narrow beams for columns and tall facades, wide beams for yards. If the project needs colour or dimming, decide at the start — retrofitting means replacing the fixtures.
