Highbays light factories and high-ceiling warehouses — where fittings hang several metres above the floor and need a downward beam rather than a spread. One unit covers a large area, so there are fewer mounting points and less work at height for maintenance.

Choosing the right one
Choose by mounting height first, then by output: the higher the ceiling, the narrower the beam has to be. Second is ambient temperature — in a hot workshop, ask about the temperature conditions attached to the published lifetime, because that figure only holds within the manufacturer's stated range. HKD currently stocks only three highbay part numbers with photographs, so if you need a specific configuration please get in touch and we will check availability and propose an equivalent.
